Mental Health Awareness

Jun 01, 2023

Mental health is our emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing. It affects how we think, feel, and act. Mental health is just as important as physical health because they affect each other.  According to the CDC, 1 in 5 adults in the US live with a mental illness. There is not a single cause for mental health, several factors can contribute to risk.

Because of this, Farmers Cooperative offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Our EAP offers professional, confidential services to help you and your loved ones improve quality of life. There are options for in-person and online guidance and resources. Our EAP is available 24 hours a day seven days a week to get help with family, parenting, addictions, emotional, legal, financial, relationships, and stress.  To find out more, please see the attachment at the end of the article or visit www.guidanceresources.com with the username LFGSupport and password LFGTSupport1 or call 888-628-4826.

Another major cause of mental health is financial wellness. To help with the financial side of wellness, Farmers Cooperative offers Smart Dollar. Smart Dollar is a Dave Ramsey financial tool, it helps you walk through your financial journey. It will help you learn to pay off debt faster, save money for emergencies, and prepare for retirement with the help of powerful lesson videos, interactive budgeting tools, and a personalized experience. Smart Dollar is confidential and available at no cost to you. To sign up, please go to https://www.smartdollar.com/enroll/farmerscooperative9191

If you have any questions or would like to know more about the resources we have to offer, please reach out to Human Resources.
