I will be a senior at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln and I am majoring in Agronomy.
Why did you choose to be an intern with Farmers Cooperative?
I chose to be an intern with Farmers Cooperative to get hands on experience in real world situations and to be working and learning in the field and not just in the classroom.
What are some of your day-to-day activities?
Some of my day-to-day activities could range from loading tender trucks, going out and spraying, putting up signs, picking up chemicals, and whatever else needs done.
What is one thing that you've learned so far this summer?
You never know everything you always learn something new every day. There's something new to learn every day on the job.
What has been your favorite parts of your internship thus far?
One of my favorite things is definitely the people that work here. There's a great group of people that work here at Filley, so I get along really well with them and have liked building those relationships.
What is a fun fact about yourself?
I do a lot of hunting.
What would be your dream job, or what is a job you plan on pursuing post-graduation?
Anything in agriculture, I'm pretty flexible and willing to go wherever it take me. I just want to explore all the options that are out there for me.
