Farmers Cooperative and Land O’Lakes Foundation Donate $80,000 to Local Hunger Programs

Jul 03, 2024

Farmers Cooperative, in partnership with the Land O’Lakes Foundation, is proud to announce a donation of $80,000 to support local hunger programs. Farmers Cooperative, along with its dedicated employees, contributed $40,000 to 47 local food pantries and backpack programs in southeast Nebraska and northeast Kansas. Additionally, the Land O’Lakes Foundation awarded matching funds of $40,000, bringing the grand total to $80,000.

This initiative was fueled by participation of Farmers Cooperative employees, who took part in a step challenge and food drive. For every step taken, a monetary donation was made to the backpack program or food pantry of their choice. Employees also supported the cause through monetary donations and by bringing in food and non-perishable items. Each of our employees had the opportunity to direct their donations to the food pantry or backpack program of their choice within our trade territory. As a result, 47 food pantries and backpack programs received contributions.

As we continue our efforts to fight hunger, we remain committed to supporting and strengthening our communities. Together, we can make a difference.
